Aerial Requirements

I Rigging point(s) must be located on a structural support such as structural beams, girders, lighting truss, cranes, bar or cross beam, etc and must be rated to support 1200 lbs minimum. Structural beams should be at least 4×12″ thick and ideally have space at the top for rigging material to choke over. Please see specific acts below for height requirements.

II Client must provide safe access to the rigging structure (foot access, catwalk, cherry picker with an operator, ladder, climbable surface or similar) for load-in and load-out. If access is easy then Christine can rig her equipment herself.

III Rigging area should be free from impeding objects (lighting, ceiling fans, speakers, décor, etc.).

IV  Christine may need to speak to a building engineer familiar with the venue, or visit it for a preliminary assessment. If the venue has a drop ceiling, a site inspection is required.
A rigger would have to be hired by the client in the following scenarios:

For rig heights above 30 feet:
For non-straightforward/roped access rigging situations.
When a kabuki drop is required (i.e. the apparatus dropping into the performance space from above by a quick release mechanism).
If the venue cannot be rigged from the building, it may be possible to bring in a free standing rig if space and access permits. Client would have to rent the free standing rig.

  1. Min 16 ft from stage to ceiling. Higher is better, up to 30 feet.

  2. Requires 1 rigging point.
  3. Requires a pulley system and pullers <please contact for information>
  4. Requires a wide area. Please ask for specifics.

Aerial hammock requirements:
  1. Min 14 ft from stage to ceiling.
  2. Requires 1 rigging point.
  3. Act also works with a pulley system and pullers if available.

Cerceaux/Lyra (aerial hoop) requirements:
  1. 10 feet if done as a freestanding act. Min 18 ft from stage to ceiling if it's a flying act.

Extension cable and rigger must be provided by the client if ceiling is too high.

Hand to hand requirements:
