Hi! I'm Christine Van Loo, Founder of SOAR.

When I was nearly 30 years old and newly divorced I moved to Hollywood, CA with a seemingly ridiculous dream of traveling the world as a professional aerialist. I had no skills, no coach, no place to train, and no plan. Nevertheless, I rented an unfurnished apartment, slept on a broken air mattress and began teaching myself to fly.

Because I didn’t know what I was doing I got tangled in lots of knots, suffered second-degree rope burns, ripped all the skin off my palms and set my pant leg on fire while trying a slack drop.

I wanted to be an aerialist more than anything but doubts were beating me up: “I can’t do this. This is way too hard. I'm too old. I can’t take the pain. I’m not strong enough. I don’t know what I’m doing. I’m not good enough." Both inside and out I felt completely defeated.

I could have quit and gotten a desk job. Quitting would have been easy. In fact 92% of us do quit our dreams.
But I had been in this position before - faced with a dream and quitting - and I knew what was on the other side.

As a child I dreamed of becoming a great gymnast but I was the worst student in class, the last to learn skills and to move up and levels. Even my coach had trouble believing in me. I could have quit then too.

Fortunately, instead of quitting, I learned “unstoppable champion mindset” techniques that transformed me from the worst student in my class into a 7-time national champion, Olympic Female Athlete of the Year and Athlete of the Decade.

I applied these techniques toward my desire to fly.

I'm proud to say that I have been living my dream, traveling the world to over 62 countries performing before millions of people with the likes of Paul McCartney and Aerosmith as a pro aerialist.

Over the past 25-years, as an elite champion athlete, aerialist, global speaker, co-owner of Airborne Arts retreat center in Costa Rica, and champion mindset coach, I have worked with thousands of people, coaching celebrities, world champions, and Olympians, and no amount of success or medals prevents one from feeling doubt or inadequacy.
